SHOP THE LOOK
This was my first StyleCon experience, and I would TOTALLY do it again!
(By the way, the outfit I'm sharing in this post is what I wore for StyleCon)
It was so amazing to be in a room with so many women with common goals and dreams. I left feeling encouraged, and more motivated than ever! The women that I heard speak were so uplifting. I really think this is a message that you guys may enjoy, because I know that it really stuck with me. I'm paraphrasing here, but this is basically what was delivered... It's easy to look at your following, your likes, your outfits, and compare them to other influencers. There will ALWAYS be bloggers with a larger following, or that wear more expensive clothes, or that seem to have it all together, but you DO have a following, and they matter! Whether you have 100 followers, or 100 million followers, you still have people that are looking to you! Staying true to yourself is what will draw more followers, so don't try to compare yourself, or be like someone else. Be confident in your style and who you are. We all have to be at 100 followers before we can reach 100 million :)
I know I struggle from time to time because building your following isn't an easy or quick process. It can get SO frustrating! I've caught myself having thoughts about giving up on my blog, or thinking that no one cares what I'm posting and that I may just be wasting my time. Has anyone else ever had those thoughts?! I absolutely love blogging, I love fashion/beauty, and I love all of you! So I have to remind myself of WHY I'm doing this. It's not to have the most followers, or the most likes. It's to live out my passion, and to be an influence to someone. If I can encourage one person, or make one person's day a little brighter, than it's all worth it.
So remember WHY you are doing what you're doing. Remind yourself that you ARE making progress, and that you are influencing. IT's easy to forget sometimes!
So that's my pep talk for the day! I hope you all are encouraged to pursue what you love, and to not give up. You ARE making a difference!
***I'm talking more about StyleCon below!***
Now I'm going to share the fun stuff from StyleCon :)
There were SO many amazing brands there, y'all! From apparel to lipsticks to popsicles, lol, they had it all! There was a station for free manicures (which my mom and I totally took advantage of), massages, hair styling, etc! It was a total girl's world, so obvi I loved it, haha!
Oh and how cute is my mom in the pictures below?! lol She is always so sweet to come to these events with me! Well she is my BFF, so who else would I bring, haha!
Here are some brands that I discovered at StyleCon, and really liked! Click on the links below to check them out for yourself!
Live Love Gameday
ANYWAYSSSS, StyleCon was so great, and if you have the chance to attend next year, or in Orange County, you totally should! OH and I almost forgot... I got to meet Catherine Lowe (she won Sean's season of the Bachelor)! Y'all probably know by now that I am a Bachelor/Bachelorette FANATIC, lol! So this was so insanely exciting!
Have a wonderful Tuesday you guys!
Okay, so here is ANOTHER shampoo and conditioner review, lol.
I really enjoy trying and reviewing hair care products because I'm always on the hunt for the best products to strengthen and lengthen my locks. I notice that my hair does better when I switch up my shampoos and conditioners, so why not try them out and review them for y'all to try!?!
This one is called Nature Queen Beauty.
Click HERE to visit their website.
This hair care line bases their brand on all natural herbal ingredients. I'm usually one of those gals that just picks the shampoo in the prettiest bottle that smells the best, haha, but lately I have been looking at the ingredients. It's crazy to see how much goes into our shampoo! What I love about Nature Queen is that there are 9 herbs in their products. These 9 herbs have been traditionally used to combat hair ailments (thinning, dandruff, dry/oily scalp, etc) in the Asian culture.
Because Nature Queen eliminates any chemicals that may harm your hair, it is not like your average Pantene or Herbal Essence shampoo. It is definitely different, and may or may not be a product for you.
My Initial Thoughts
The shampoo has a really nice smell. It doesn't seem artificial or chemically enhanced. The best way I can describe it is like an "essential oils" type smell. If you use Essential Oils, and enjoy the smell, you will love the smell of this shampoo! One thing that caught me off guard is the color! It is a dark brown color, but the same texture as any other shampoo. I will have to say, my hair felt really clean after I used the shampoo! It really felt like it was detoxifying my hair and eliminating extra oils.
The end of my hair are always dry, so I usually use an extra heavy conditioner for the moisture it needs. I wasn't wild about this conditioner for a few reasons. First, it didn't feel very moisturizing. I felt like I needed to use a lot of it, or use a conditioning mask afterwards. Secondly, the smell is very pungent. It also smells like the essential oils, but much stronger/more fragrant. I think the more you use, the stronger the scent is in your hair, so just a heads up in case you decide to try this product!
After One Week
I did start seeing some results after a week of use. I figured out not to use as much conditioner, and once a week had passed, the ratio of oil/dryness felt like it had regulated. It actually felt healthy and shiny.
The biggest thing that I noticed is the amount of oil in my hair. I've told you guys before that I usually have to wash my hair every single day because it just gets so oily. Well after a week of using Nature Queen, I actually skipped a day of washing it, and it wasn't nearly as oily as before! Obvi, this makes me so happy because uhhhh washing your hair every day is so annoying, lol.
All in all, I have enjoyed this product. As I stated above, there were a few minor things that I didn't care for, but the major thing is that I don't have to wash my hair everyday! WOOHOO!
I see this shampoo and conditioner as a detox for your hair. IF you're looking to get rid of dandruf, reduce oiliness, or just get your hair back to it's normal state, I think this is a great product to try.
Hope you all enjoy!

Hurricane Harvey has shown no mercy to many of the towns along the Gulf Coast of Texas, and above. It's absolutely heart breaking to see the devastation it has caused, but let's do something about it!
I personally have not been effected by this hurricane, but have loved ones that are currently waiting for rescue teams to get them, and saying goodbye to their homes and belongings.
There are so many ways we can donate to help! I've linked some different companies that have benevolence funds to assist in this disaster.
