1. Use Lipstick as Liner
Am I the only one that tries a million beauty products before finding the perfect one? I can't even tell you how much money I have spent trying to find THE lip liner to match with all of my favorite nude lippies. After many failed attempts, I finally just decided to use one of my favorite lip crayons AS a liner, and now it's the perfect liner! So save yourself a little cash and don't be scared to use your lippies as liners!
Below, you can shop my favorite lip combo lately. I use the treStiQue lip crayon (color: Florence Fig) as my liner, and then the NXY lip cream (color: 595) on the inside of my lips. I then do a little blotting to blend the two a little bit and it turns into a beautiful nude/pink lip :)

2. Press on Nails
Yes, I said press on nails, lol. I'm sure the last time you used these bad boys you were 5 years old and they had Polly Pocket and Barbie printed all over them, haha! I was always OBSESSED with these as a little girl. Obvi because I wanted to look just like my mom :)
I recently tried these Nail Bliss press on nails and OMG, they are bomb! I wouldn't recommend them if you're wanting a week's worth of wear, but if you have a special occassion, these are so great! They usually last about 3-4 days for me. Did I mention you can get an entire set for less than $10? They have lots of different colors and shapes, and they take less than 5 minutes to put on. I was a little nervous about them at first because I have super tiny fingers and nails, but they fit perfect and aren't at all too long. Saves so much money and time!

3. Do Your Own Lashes
I know lashes and brows are a big deal these days. I can't really say much now because I currently have lash extensions, haha, BUT when I am trying to cut a few things in my budget they're the first to go!
I'm all about a DIY, so if you don't want to get involved with lash extensions or serum to grow your lashes, try some glue on lashes, or individual lashes that will give you that luscious lash look. Then top them with a thin coat of L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. This is the perfect solution for special occasions.

4. Self Tanner
No need to spend hours laying out, or pay for a tanning membership, ladies! I am ALLLL about self tanner! I used to tan in the tanning beds before I realized how horrible it was for me. THEN I moved to spray tans, but those get expensive. I finally tried this tanning mousse from St. Tropez, and it was a total game changer! You simply put a few pumps of the mousse onto your tanning mitt (linked below), and rub it into your skin. One day I went to Ulta to get my St. Tropez tanner, and they were sold out, UGH! So I tried this St. Moriz brand and actually like it just as much! ANDDDD it's a lot less expensive (only $12.99)! If you don't like the mousse formula, you can always try the mist or the lotion. The mousse just happens to be my favorite. I get the color: Dark.

5. Brighten It All Up
Not only am I constantly fighting coffee and red wine stains for brighter teeth, but I also find myself trying to brighten my skin, AND my hair! Here are a few budget friendly remedies to get a brighter you!
So this is one of those home remedies - Peroxide on a Q-tip! I really don't know if this is a common thing, but I have been doing it for years! I simply dip the end of a Q-tip into a little bit of peroxide, put it on the fronts of my teeth, let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse and brush my teeth as usual. Be sure to put the peroxide on your teeth, and not your gums! I don't do this everyday, just a few times a week.
I recently got a balayage and I absolutely love it! BUT my hair tends to pull a brassy color no matter if it's blonde or brown. To keep it bright and less brassy, I like to use this Shimmer Lights purple shampoo. I use it a few times each week and don't leave it in my hair any longer than a minute. You don't wan to leave this in your hair for very long because you may just end up with purple locks! My mom is a blonde and keeps her hair highlighted and SWEARS by this stuff. It's also super affordable and has lasted me a while!

Two teaspoons of lemon juice and two teaspoons of honey is all it takes to get that beautiful glowing skin! Guys, I am going to admit, that I haven't tried this remedy but I have heard from a few friends that it's a refreshing little treatment. Mix the honey and lemon juice together and apply to your face. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse! Easy as that! I promise I'll try it soon and let you guys know on a personal note, lol.

It's almost Mother's Day!
Who else is excited about spoiling their mama?!? I LOVE giving gifts, (and also love my mom, haha) so I am so excited for a day dedicated to her! I think I've had her Mother's Day gift for nearly a month now :)
I would totally tell y'all what I got her, but chances are, she is reading this post ;)
My mom and I have always been super close (I am the only girl, so we have a very special relationship).
Now that I am older, our relationship has evolved, and she is now my very best friend! Oh, and if you've ever seen my mom, you'd totally think we were sisters - she is beautiful inside and out, and doesn't look a day over 25 ;) (I would say all of this even if she wasn't going to read this post, lol).
Anyways, I am so happy to get to celebrate her every Mother's Day. She is always so selfless, and deserves a day to feel important, loved, and totally pampered!
I know all of our moms are different, and understand that MY mom might like everything in the photo above, yet other moms may not! That's why I've put together some shopping lists below for all the moms out there!
Whether you get to spend May 14th with her or not, make sure to let her know how much you love and appreciate her.

For the past few years I have been growing my hair out, trying to get it long, strong, and healthy.
I am all about any hair product that can help me reach my goals, so I've been testing out the Eva NYC shampoo and conditioner. I had heard great things about it, but of course needed to trying it for myself.
To my surprise, it has become one of my favorite shampoos! I truly feel like my hair feels thicker, and shinier when I use it.
So let me just say that I by no means have the ideal hair. For my entire life I have hoped and prayed that maybe one day I would wake up with a new head of hair, lol. Truly though, my hair is extremely thin, frizzy, curly, and coarse. I have been on a major hair journey due to consistent bleaching and clip-in extensions, and am quite proud of where it's at now. I baby it, and want to use the best products for my hair type.
In all honesty, this shampoo and conditioner duo has quickly become one of my favorites. Why, you ask?The smell is absolutely AMAZING (I'm all about fragrance). It's a little bit vanilla with a hint of lavender (at least that's what it smells like to me, haha. Another factor that I usually look for in my hair care is if it has any anti-frizz effect. Lord knows I need all the help I can get! I'm so happy to say that my hair looks and feels sleek and shiny! WOOHOO! Lastly, who WOULDN'T want to buy this stuff just from the adorable packaging?! I'm pretty sure my eyes only see pink, haha.
Any-who, I strongly suggest this shampoo & conditioner set. It can be purchased at your local Costco, and comes in the giant pump bottles (does this make anyone else excited? lol).
Go get yourself some, and let me know how you like it!
Today I am going to be reviewing my NEW FAVORITE hair care product. It's called Function of Beauty, and it's personalized shampoo and conditioner!!!! You heard me!!! And yes, it's amazing.
My Hair Journey
So I've had a little bit of a hair journey, and I've really been trying to get the healthiest and most natural version of my hair for the past few years. I have very thin and fine hair, and several years ago I started wearing clip in extensions to make my hair appear thicker and longer. I was also a blonde at the time, so you can image the damage, lol. When I first started wearing the extensions, I would literally get stopped by random people, and they would tell me how beautiful my locks were (little did they know it was a weave, haha). Soooo, obviously I kept wearing them. I got so addicted to the bleach and extensions that my hair literally fried off! It was unbelievably thin, and broken. Of course, I saw my hair in its natural state everyday, so I really didn't realize HOW bad it was, until I revealed it to my college roommates. I realized it was TRULY a problem when I saw their initial reaction.
I got to the point where I couldn't go without the extensions because my hair was THAT bad, and of course I was self-conscious. My sweet husband (boyfriend at the time) finally talked me into throwing the extensions away for good, getting my hair cut short, and dying it back to my natural hair color.
It was the hardest thing ever because I was so self conscious, but I am so thankful I did it. Needless to say, I have really been babying my locks to get it back to its natural state, and this Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner is truly giving it life!
What is Function of Beauty?
I recently discovered this brand, and I am a little obsessed with it, lol. I have told all of my friends about it because I think everyone needs it, haha! Function of Beauty is a line of personalized shampoo and conditioner.
Once on their website, you take a quick hair quiz. They ask you about your hair type (ex: frizzy, curly, straight, fine, etc.), your hair goals (ex: anti frizz, damage repair, etc.), and then you pick a color, and a scent for your shampoo and conditioner! Of course I picked the color pink ;) and then I picked Sandalwood Lavender for my scent. But I am ALL about personalization, so this seriously excites me!
It took about two weeks to get my shampoo after ordering it online. This felt like forever, but I know they are special making my product, so I decided to cut them some slack ;)
When you get it, it comes in a pretty mint colored box (great packaging), and it's simply glorious when you open the box! You products are laid out, and there is a print-out of your hair quiz, and directions on how to use the products.
My first time using it I was a little skeptical. The scent smells good, but a little more earthy (for lack of better words) than the scents I am usually drawn to. The shampoo smells a little more like Sandalwood, and the conditioner more like Lavender. The BUT when I finished washing and conditioning, my hair smelt amazing! I knew this stuff was great when I got out of the shower and began to let my hair air dry.... NO FRIZZ! Seriously y'all, I have SUCH frizzy hair, and lots of curl. Usually when I let my hair air dry, it becomes a puff ball in 2.5 seconds. Not this time thoughhhhhh ;)
I decided to blow dry it a little to see what it did, and it looked so silky and soft, for once in my life, lol. THEN, the topper to the whole story was that my husband immediately noticed, and told me how long and silky my hair looked. UMMM OKKEYYYY! I'm just gonna whip my hair back and forth real quick! Haha! Anyways, I seriously love this stuff, and I'm such a fan! I totally recommend it for you girls that struggle with frizz, or just need a little hair help.
I hope you guys enjoyed this review! Now go get yourself some new shampoo! ;)
Spring is fast approaching, and I couldn't be happier about it!
It is my absolute favorite season of the year. Sunnies skies, warm weather, fresh blooms, and spring fashion... My heart is fluttering just thinking about it :)
Lately I've been getting more into makeup (I've always loved it, but never watched as many tutorials as I do now, lol). Kylie Jenner recently posted a picture in a peachy makeup look from her new palette, and I seriously fell in love with it! It totally screams "spring time" to me!
I would have loved to gone out and bought her palette and exact beauty products to identically recreate the look, BUT I decided to scrounge up some products that I already own and create my own "peachy" look.
I remember as a little girl, I was absolutely head over heels for the color pink (not much has changed, lol).
I would sneak into my mom's makeup and give myself pink lips, pink eyeshadow, and some clown-like pink cheeks. Never would I have guessed that I would intentionally be recreating a similar look 20 years later! HA!
ANYWAYSSSS, I've listed all of the products below in the brand and color, with a short review. This may be helpful if you're wanting to know if the products I use are a good fit for you!
You can also "Shop the Look" and simply click on the products to shop them directly.

Gimme Good Face - Face Primer
I REALLY like this primer. It goes on super silky, and doesn't ever make my skin feel oily as the day passes.
Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse
Color: 75 Natural Beige
This is one of my old faves. I have combination skin, and it does make my skin a tad bit oily if I am planning to wear it all day, but I really like the airbrush finish it gives me.
Facestudio Master Conceal
Color: 10 Fair
Brush: Beau Gachis Paris Concealer Brush
I do like this concealer for day wear. It is not full coverage, but goes me a good highlight, and hides my dark circles and blemishes. Good enough for me! This concealer brush is the best. Totally recommend it.
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
Probably the one thing that I couldn't live without ;) Obsessed with it.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
Brush: Morphe M527
Best kit, best brush. End of story, lol.
This fluffy brush gives you the perfect amount of color. It grabs just the right amount of product and really blends well.
Milani Baked Blush
Color: 05 Luminoso
Brush: Morphe E4
I have been looking for a peachy blush for a while and just grabbed this one out of desperation, but turns out I really love it! ANDDDD I've never had a blush brush that I love more than this one.
City Color Highlight Trio
Totally bomb. I use two of the highlighters out of the three, but it really makes my high points pop!

I don't think I will ever use anything else for my brows. It's the best!
Used my Milani Baked Blush (listed above) for the peach color
The other two colors were form the NAKED palette
Colors: Half Baked & Toasted
I mix up my eyeshadows ALL of the time. I love the Naked palette, and the way it wears.

Color: Carbon Black
I've tried several different Eyeko liners, and this one if my favorite! They also have a fat one that is fabulous for a super winged look.
Loreal Voluminous Original
Color: Blackest Black
I have been using this mascara since middle school, haha, and I have never found another mascara that I love more.
I am not for sure what style these lashes are, (because I found them in the bottom of my makeup drawer, lol) BUT the brand is House of Lashes
NYX Lip Liner/Crayon
Color: Nude Pink
One of my favorites. Super inexpensive, but goes on slightly creamy and smooth.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick
The only liquid lipstick I wear! LOVEEEEE.
Buxom Lip Plumping Gloss
Color: White Russian
You're lips will tingle, lol, but it's a beautiful finish to a pretty, plump lip.
