It's wedding SZN people!!!!
It's crazy for me to think that a year ago I was less than a month away from my wedding day!
I'm pretty sure my inner bridezilla had performed her big debut by this point, lol.
After experiencing the overwhelming details of being a bride, I now know the importance of NOT texting the bride with simple questions like, "what do you think I should wear to your wedding?" In no way am I saying that the bride doesn't care about your concerns, but she has SO many other details to tend to.
I know as a guest you just want to make sure you're dressed appropriately, so that's why I'm here to educate you on wedding guest attire. :)
Am I the only one that gets a wedding invitation and reads "black tie optional," and goes straight to Pinterest for some clue on what this means? Haha! It can be super confusing, and none of us want to show up to a wedding under or over dressed!
Below I've listed wedding guest attire for most weddings, with an appropriate idea of what to wear. Of course I've also listed some of my favorite dresses under $100, that would be perfect for any summer wedding, formal or not!
I hope this helps! Oh and just a tip, never try to outdress the bride ;)
Girl you better be fancy!!! LOL! But really, I'm talkin' ball gown, heels, and all your finest jewelry. I don't personally know of anyone who has had a wedding this formal, but ya never know!
This isn't going to be quite as dressy as white tie. You can either wear a long gown, or even a cocktail length, but make sure it's not too casual.
Black Tie Optional
This one always throws me for a loop because it seems contradicting, BUT apparently it's a thing lol. You can either wear what I listed above under "Black Tie," or something a tad bit more casual such as a jumpsuit or a nice pair of pants.
Dressy Casual or Semiformal
Most of us are used to this one! You can wear something like a nice romper/jumpsuit/pants, a cocktail length dress, or even a skirt paired with a blouse.
Casual or Daytime
This can be something you may wear to a summer party, or out to lunch with your girls! A casual dress, romper, or skirt are all great for a casual event.
